Become A Registered Supplier / Bidder In Nepal
Bidder Registration & Vendor Onboarding
The Official Route Into Public Procurement
How To Register As A Bidder On e-GP (Bolpatra)
To participate in public tenders in Nepal, your company must generally be registered as a bidder on the electronic Government Procurement portal at bolpatra.gov.np, operated under the Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO). The process below describes the standard official registration route as explained by the portal's own published guidance.
Registration is a two-part process: you register online, then the relevant authority verifies your submitted documents. Approved bidders can then participate in bids, access the full bidding documents and the document fee payment system through Class A commercial banks, and submit sealed electronic bids published by public entities across the country.
Official Registration Steps - As Published On The Platform
- Create the bidder account online: go to bolpatra.gov.np/egp and register your organization, entering company details.
- Create a user account and attach it to your company: the designated user role (for example a managing director or authorized representative) activates the bidder ID.
- Extend bidder status if you are applying for large or donor-funded tenders: the system offers extended bidder levels; large-scale or international tenders typically require this status. You can log in, go to the bidder extension menu, and complete the process while it is open.
- Upload the required documents for verification: company registration certificate, VAT / PAN certificate, tax clearance certificate, authorized-person documents and any others named on the platform.
- Pay the applicable fee: the registration or extension fee is paid through the banks approved for the purpose, using the reference generated in the portal.
- Post-verification by the authority: your submitted documents are verified by the responsible authority before your bidder status becomes fully active.
- Start bidding: once active, download documents, purchase document fees through approved banks, and submit bids on the portal before each deadline.
This summary reflects the registration flow published by the e-GP portal. The portal itself and PPMO's published rules are the authoritative source, and specifics can change - always follow the current guidance on bolpatra.gov.np for the exact steps, fees and documents.

Beyond Government Registration
Onboarding As A Vendor To NGOs, INGOs & Corporates
Donor agencies, implementing partners and large corporations typically do not use the e-GP system. They run vendor onboarding through their own supplier portals, rosters and pre-qualification exercises with deadlines and document requirements of their own.
The principles are the same: valid company registration, VAT/PAN and tax compliance, references and audited financial records, compliance statements and insurance where applicable. Once you are on their list, opportunities arrive through their tendering platforms or procurement officers.
As a supply specialist, DNB cannot register on your behalf or vouch for your company's records in an NGO or corporate vendor system - that is your corporate action. What we genuinely help with is the supply-side once you are in the game: sourcing the products or services named in the solicitation, and preparing evidence the buyer expects from a supplier (authorization, warranty, performance references, certification).
Where DNB Helps On The Supply Side
- Assessing a BOQ / ToR / specification for realistic sourcing and pricing
- Coordinating manufacturer data sheets, authorization letters and test certificates
- Confirming warranty, DLP and spare-parts commitments in writing
- Arranging the right delivery terms, packaging and lead times
- Standing behind the product we supply with follow-up support
- Giving clear "we can" or "we cannot" answers before you commit
